On November 9, the “Ning Yuan Ning Bo” vessel was officially put into service on the “Dongguan-Ningbo-Tianjin” domestic trade container liner route, signifying a new high in the strategic cooperation between Ningbo Yuanyang and Dongguan Port Group.
“Ning Yuan Ning Bo” is the largest domestic trade container ship by capacity and tonnage ever built by Ningbo Yuanyang. It spans 197 meters long and 34.8 meters wide, with a modeled depth of 19.2 meters and a designed draft of 12.5 meters. The ship can load up to 3,318 standard containers and nearly 58,000 tons of goods.
Presently, there are one 58,000-ton vessel and two 40,000-ton vessels running along the “Dongguan-Ningbo-Tianjin” route every five days. The new vessel not only increases the operating frequency of the ship route but also helps diversify its shipping space, which will provide enterprises in the central region with effective transportation services for goods from both northern and southern China.
As part of its future efforts, Dongguan Port Group will rely on the competitive shipping network of Ningbo Yuanyang to deepen the strategic cooperation, so that the maritime logistics channel linking Dongguan Port and Haiphong Port in Vietnam yield greater results. It will strive to build unobstructed logistics pathways in the northeastern, northern, eastern, southern, southwestern, and other parts of China, thus providing customers with efficient, convenient and high-quality ship routes for domestic trade.
