4,500 public charging piles to be built in Dongguan in 2024

  On February 1, Energy Bureau of Guangdong Province issued a notice regarding the issuance of the 2024 Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Construction Tasks. The document proposes that in 2024, the province plans to construct 1,312 new public charging stations, with 66,110 public charging piles. It also plans to build 386 new supercharging stations and 735 supercharging terminals.

  The attachment includes the “2024 Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Construction Task Table,” which indicates that Dongguan City needs to construct 200 public charging stations, with 4,500 public charging piles, 10 supercharging stations, and 15 supercharging terminals.

2. Highway service area charging piles

1) The Department of Transport of Guangdong Province  is organizing and implementing the “Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of Roadside Charging Infrastructure in Guangdong Province.”

2) The power grid enterprises are proactively ensuring the supporting guarantee of power facilities to help achieve the target task of completing the total number of charging facilities at highway service areas to reach 10% of the total parking spaces for small vehicles by 2024.

Note:

1. Public charging stations: containing 3 or more charging piles (including at least one DC fast charging pile)

2. Supercharging station: containing 1 or more supercharging terminals (with each charging gun having a power of 360 kilowatts or above)
