“In 2015, Feiliks officially settled in the Humen Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Dongguan. We have deeply felt this city’s inclusiveness towards innovation, its pursuit of efficiency, and its care for enterprises. Over the past nine years, Feiliks has developed the fastest and most smoothly in Dongguan,” said Yang Fan, Vice President of Feiliks International Logistics.
In March this year, Feiliks officially broke ground on the construction of the Dongguan Feiliks Electronic Components Distribution Center in the Comprehensive Bonded Zone. The project will utilize new technologies and concepts such as 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, intelligent three-dimensional warehouses, human-machine collaboration, and ESG to create an intelligent and internationalized electronic components distribution center integrating multiple business forms. Once completed, it is expected to serve as Feiliks’s supply chain service base in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, taking on the role of regional operations headquarters for South China.
Having deeply experienced the “Dongguan Speed” and “Dongguan Warmth”
“We were born in the Yangtze River Delta and have spread our leaves in the Greater Bay Area,” said Yang Fan. “Growing robustly in the two most economically developed regions in China is thanks to us being among the first to benefit from the policy dividends and pioneering demonstration effects brought by the reform and opening-up.”
It is learned that Feiliks is a multinational logistics company established in 1993, headquartered in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. As a listed company serving the electronic information intelligent manufacturing industry and electronic components distribution supply chain, Feiliks has been rooted in the electronic information industry for many years, serving all areas of production, supply, and sales, and is a well-known brand in the domestic supply chain field.
In 2015, Feiliks officially settled in the Humen Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Dongguan. As Yang Fan recalled, when Feiliks moved its entire 20,000 square meters to Dongguan, they shipped on the first day, August 1st, despite the coinciding double typhoons and heavy rain. The staff of the bonded zone and customs responded quickly, braving the wind and rain to come to the site and fully assist, ensuring the smooth relocation and shipment, allowing all Feiliks personnel to deeply experience the “Dongguan Speed” and “Dongguan Warmth.”
The “Dongguan Warmth” was not only present when Feiliks first settled in. Yang Fan stated that over the years, the Comprehensive Bonded Zone has always paid great attention to Feiliks’s demands, carefully researching and negotiating their implementation. While strictly supervising, the customs department has also provided thorough and considerate services.
“This kind of support, which is both strict and warm, has transformed our initial unfamiliarity and anxiety when we first arrived in Dongguan into the familiarity and ease we feel today,” said Yang Fan. Dongguan’s excellent investment environment, efficient administrative processes, smooth communication mechanisms, and pleasant cultural environment have allowed Feiliks to deeply experience the city’s inclusiveness towards innovation, pursuit of efficiency, and care for enterprises.
Building an Electronic Components Distribution Center in Dongguan
In recent years, Feiliks has undertaken several business expansions in the Humen Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Dongguan, including bonded maintenance, bonded research and development, and international service outsourcing (IC programming center), among other new businesses. The businesses in the bonded zone have been operating well, contributing to Dongguan’s foreign trade and export. In March this year, Feiliks officially broke ground on the construction of the Dongguan Feiliks Electronic Components Distribution Center in the bonded zone.
The total investment for this project is about 800 million yuan, with a total construction area exceeding 120,000 square meters, including three four-story warehouses and supporting office areas. Once completed, the project is expected to serve as Feiliks’s supply chain service base in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, taking on the role of regional operations headquarters for South China. Additionally, Feiliks plans to use this project to expand its channels in the South China region, targeting distributors, electronic components, and leading customers in international advanced manufacturing, thus creating a supply chain base in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
This project is launched based on Feiliks’s 20 years of business experience in the South China region, combined with Dongguan’s trillion-yuan-scale electronic information industry and the national policies promoting manufacturing chain supplementation, strengthening, and digital to intelligent transformation. It not only aims to enhance Feiliks’s competitiveness in the South China region but also to elevate the industrial level of Dongguan, building a new high-end manufacturing and modern service industry system with national and Greater Bay Area influence.
“Choosing to build this distribution center in the Greater Bay Area and in Dongguan, we believe the timing is just right,” said Yang Fan. Dongguan, adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, is a major city in China’s manufacturing sector and a leader in the field. Hong Kong serves as the Asia-Pacific distribution center for electronic components, creating a complementary effect with Dongguan. Yang Fan particularly pointed out that the Humen Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Dongguan, where the distribution center is located, has an unparalleled locational advantage, allowing Feiliks to transition from purely providing logistics services for the electronic components industry to offering comprehensive supply chain services. “Feiliks is willing to cast a vote of confidence in Dongguan’s development, firmly believing that Dongguan’s future will be even more dazzling.”
