On the morning of September 2, the Administrative Committee of Dongguan Waterfront Economic Development Zone and Baidu Group signed a project cooperation agreement, marking the official establishment of the Baidu AI Cloud (Dongguan) AI Artificial Intelligence Industry Base in Dongguan Waterfront Economic Development Zone. The project leverages Baidu’s advanced AI technology to provide artificial intelligence services to Dongguan’s manufacturing sector, empowering businesses in their intelligent and digital transformation and upgrading efforts.
Baidu AI Cloud (Dongguan) AI Artificial Intelligence Industry Base aims to build an intelligent industry ecosystem in the Dongguan region by developing four core platforms. Leveraging Baidu’s leading influence, the base plans to attract more than 20 digital ecosystem enterprises, covering cutting-edge technologies such as image generation, visual-driven systems, smart health, and intelligent robotics. This will drive the aggregation and coordinated development of innovative resources, including data, technology, applications, talent, and industry. Additionally, the base will integrate Baidu’s core large models, including “Qianfan + ERNIE + Brain,” to create an AI large model empowerment platform. This platform brings together AI tools such as AI office, image generation, AI live streaming, code assistants, search engines, and digital humans. Through this platform, local Dongguan enterprises can easily develop AI applications tailored to their own needs, establishing smart application platforms for R&D, production, testing, and marketing. This will help effectively reduce costs and accelerate the intelligent transformation of industries.
Moreover, the base will accelerate the innovation of application scenarios by developing benchmark cases in areas such as smart cities and autonomous driving. It will also establish an industry-academia-research base to attract AI talent, host themed events, and comprehensively promote the development of Dongguan's digital economy and artificial intelligence.
To support the growth of the digital economy industry, the base will create an industry-academia-research hub that will attract leading talent, including AI developers, engineers, and technicians. Through an integrated model of industry, academia, and research, the base will drive innovation and application of AI technologies. Regular AI ecosystem-themed events will be held at the base, providing local enterprises with AI talent training camps to support the growth and development of AI professionals in Dongguan.
Next, Baidu AI Cloud (Dongguan) AI Artificial Intelligence Industry Base will take the lead in project implementation and operations, attracting a series of projects and talents in fields such as artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, and smart cities to settle in the Waterfront Economic Development Zone. By actively guiding enterprises to participate in intelligent transformation and upgrading and leveraging Baidu AI Cloud and its advanced large model technologies, the base will promote the deep integration of AI with the Waterfront Economic Development Zone’s manufacturing industry. It will provide Dongguan enterprises with end-to-end AI solutions, covering R&D, manufacturing, management, sales, and operations, helping businesses achieve leapfrog development in intelligent transformation and digitalization.
