The 136th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou in three phases from October 15 to November 4. As a “barometer” and “wind vane” of China’s foreign trade, the Canton Fair has always been an important platform for Dongguan enterprises to compete for global orders. It is reported that 420 Dongguan enterprises will participate in this Canton Fair, with a total of 920 booths. To enhance the effectiveness of participation, Dongguan will also organize several investment promotion, procurement matchmaking, and inspection activities during the exhibition.
In preparation for the Canton Fair, Dongguan has proactively provided services to participating enterprises. Nine preparatory meetings were held across different towns and districts to guide enterprises in organizing their exhibition plans and improving participation efficiency. Enterprises are also encouraged to actively engage in various supporting activities of the Canton Fair and invite business clients to visit Dongguan for further inspections and discussions.
It is learned that among the 420 participating enterprises in this year’s Canton Fair, 85 are new exhibitors, accounting for over 20%. There are 198 enterprises from advanced manufacturing and technology innovation industries, including high-tech enterprises, specialized and sophisticated enterprises, and enterprises leading an individual field. To enhance the overall image of Dongguan manufacturing, Dongguan will unify the branding for its eco-friendly custom booths with the label “Guangdong Quality, Made in Dongguan” to boost the effectiveness of the participating companies.
During the exhibition, Dongguan will also conduct several investment promotion, procurement matchmaking, and inspection activities. It is understood that, to increase investment attraction efforts, Dongguan plans to hold about 10 investment promotion events during the Canton Fair. Relevant departments will organize dedicated teams to conduct investment talks on-site at the Canton Fair to attract high-quality enterprises to visit Dongguan. As for matchmaking and inspections, Dongguan has already organized three activities and will continue to actively engage with overseas organizations, inviting them to attend the Canton Fair and visit Dongguan for inspections.
In addition, to attract Canton Fair visitors to Dongguan for leisure and experiences, Dongguan has actively coordinated with local hospitality businesses and A-level scenic spots to offer special accommodation and dining discounts for exhibitors and buyers attending the Canton Fair. At the same time, Dongguan will intensify efforts to promote 10 premium tourist routes tailored for Canton Fair visitors. The city also plans to hold over 20 cultural, tourism, and sports events to boost consumption, including the Dongguan Eco-Camping Festival, during the Canton Fair.
