From graphene films that de-ice aircraft rotors at high altitudes to wind-measuring lidar and laser ceilometers ensuring low-altitude flight safety, Dongguan’s scientific and technological prowess was on full display at the 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (also known as Airshow China). Held on November 12 at the Zhuhai International Airshow Center, the event attracted nearly 800 exhibitors from 47 countries and regions.
Dongguan’s dedicated exhibition zone, jointly organized by the Dongguan Municipal Office for Military-Civilian Integration and the Dongguan Songshan Lake Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone Administrative Committee, was located the center in Hall 11. Representing Dongguan, 14 companies presented 90 cutting-edge products covering seven key sectors: aerospace, intelligent equipment, new materials, next-generation information technology, shooting simulation, training equipment, and composite materials.
Aerospace equipment manufacturing, known as the “crown jewel of industry”, vividly showcased Dongguan’s innovation-driven capabilities.
The Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory brought 13 exhibits to the event, including wind-measuring lidar and laser ceilometers. Using Doppler laser technology and multi-beam scanning, wind-measuring lidar provides real-time wind speed data in multiple directions. Equipped with pulse laser ranging technology, laser ceilometers accurately measure cloud height and other atmospheric attributes.
“The airshow offers us a great opportunity to demonstrate our latest research achievements, attracting both pre-scheduled clients and walk-in visitors,” said a representative from the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory.

(“Flyfire Technology”), focusing on the design and development of aircraft safety systems, showcased its passive safety solutions like parachutes, airbags, and emergency power-off mechanisms. These technologies significantly reduce damage and risks in the event of accidents.
“Our industry-grade drone parachute emergency landing system can effectively prevent secondary damage caused by crashes. It’s compatible with multiple DJI drone models and widely exported to EU countries”, said Xie Yuhui, CEO of Flyfire Technology, adding that the event attracted numerous industry professionals for in-depth discussions.

Guangdong Special Pie Technology Co., Ltd. offered visitors an engaging experience with its interactive shooting simulation zone. Participants aimed and fired at moving targets displayed on a screen using realistic replica firearms, making it one of the event’s most popular attractions.
