In July of this year, Dongguan issued the “Dongguan Low-Altitude Economy High-Quality Development Implementation Plan (2024-2026)” (hereinafter referred to as the “Plan”). The plan outlines the goal of gathering more than 200 enterprises in the industrial chain by 2026, with the industry scale surpassing 50 billion yuan, making the low-altitude economy a new and important growth driver for Dongguan’s high-quality economic development. According to the “China Low-Altitude Economy Development Research Report (2024)” released by the China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID) in April, Dongguan has 528 companies related to the broader low-altitude economy industry chain, ranking among the top in the province, second only to Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
Particularly in the field of high-end general aviation aircraft manufacturing, Dongguan has successfully attracted a number of aerospace companies across the upstream and downstream industry chains, including aircraft interiors, precision components, and complete aircraft manufacturing, leveraging its unique geographical advantages and industrial base. This has led to the formation of a strong industrial cluster effect.
Products of Dongguan’s low-altitude economy sector
As of now, Dongguan is home to several low-altitude economy-related companies, including Xiangji UAV, Bee Aviation, Xiangxin Technology, Chaoyue Aviation, Flyfire Technology, Transcendent Aerospace, and SatXspace, covering industries such as low-altitude manufacturing, low-altitude flight, low-altitude support, and integrated services. These companies are characterized by a broad radiation area, long industry chains, strong growth potential, and the ability to drive other sectors.
