Over the past few days, 9 reports have been released via CCTV-2, CCTV-13, as well as platforms like CCTV.com and its WeChat channel, and the WeChat channel of CCTV-13.

  Various CCTV platforms showcased the production lines of multiple art toy companies in Dongguan, reporting on the busy scenes of workers working overtime and machines running at full speed. The reports focused on how Dongguan’s art toy industry with its strong market demand, had all hands on deck, overcoming the challenge of high demand for Ne Zha 2 merchandise and continuously breaking records. The coverage highlighted the charm of Dongguan’s “City of Art Toys” and its thriving art toy industry chain.

  On February 17, the WeChat channel of CCTV-13 released a report titled “How a Movie Can Ignite a Production Line,” which focused on Dongguan’s art toy companies fully resuming operations to tackle the “Ne Zha merchandise shortage” and meet the growing demand.

  On February 16, “News Live” program of CCTV-13 focused on how Dongguan manufacturers secured billion-yuan orders. The report highlighted the ongoing popularity of Ne Zha 2 and its hot-selling merchandise. It covered how art toy companies in Dongguan, due to a surge in orders, worked together to secure billion-yuan contracts, running production 24/7 to meet the demand and resolve the issue of the “Ne Zha merchandise shortage.”

  On February 15, CCTV-2’s “Economic News”, “First Time”, and “World Finance” programs all covered the substantial increase in orders for Ne Zha 2 merchandise following the film’s success, with Dongguan art toy companies speeding up production to fulfill the growing demand.

Faced with strong market demand, Dongguan manufacturers ramped up their production lines, going full throttle to replenish stock with expedited processing.

  On February 14, mobile app of CCTV-13 released a report titled “Guangdong Dongguan: Companies Flooded with Orders! ‘Ne Zha’ Merchandise in Short Supply.” The report focused on Dongguan manufacturing. It stated that Ne Zha: The Demon Child Conquers the Sea swept the animated film market with a box office of over 10 billion yuan, and merchandise from the film, including Q-version models, movie scene cards, and blind boxes, sold out as soon as they were released. In response to the rapid surge in demand, many art toy companies in Dongguan experienced explosive order volumes, with some companies securing contracts worth up to 100 million yuan. Dongguan-made products are on the way, and the “Ne Zha merchandise shortage” is expected to be alleviated.
