Market data shows that Unitree Robotics has invested in five companies to date.
Previously, Unitree had already established branches in Beijing and Shanghai. According to Tianyancha records, Shanghai Gaoyi Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Lingyi Technology Co., Ltd. were established in 2024. These two companies, fully owned by Unitree Robotics, specialize in technology promotion and application services.
Industry analysts suggest that as AI continues to evolve and integrate into various applications, intelligent robotics has become a crucial sector within the technology industry, offering immense market potential and growth opportunities.
How strong is Shenzhen’s “Elite Robotics Team”?
Shenzhen is emerging as a powerhouse in the robotics sector.
According to official data, Shenzhen is now home to over 2,600 AI companies, including 6 unicorn startups, and 34 publicly listed robotics enterprises, including 9 unicorn companies and 7 Shenzhen-based firms recognized in Morgan Stanley’s list of Humanoid 100.
After a rigorous selection process in collaboration with the Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Society, Nanfang+ has identified eight Shenzhen-based robotics companies that represent China’s cutting-edge technology in the global arena. These robots are not only highly intelligent but also possess extraordinary capabilities. Let’s take a closer look at the “Eight Ultimate Robotics Team”!
ENGINEAI Robotics
– The world’s first humanoid robot to successfully perform a forward flip
This humanoid robot walks with movements almost identical to a human. A video of it casually strolling down the stairs quickly went viral, with even NVIDIA scientists marveling at its graceful gait.
Whether patrolling on duty or taking a leisurely seaside walk with you, it is more than up to the task.
UBTECH Robotics
— The most widely used humanoid robot in global auto manufacturing training
These robots work in teams across factory floors, excelling in quality inspection, sorting, material handling, and more.
You can spot them in the production lines of leading automakers such as BYD, Geely, FAW-Audi, and NIO, where they contribute to the efficiency of automobile manufacturing.
Pudu Robotics
— The world’s leading commercial service robot by market share
If you have dined at Haidilao Hot Pot, KFC, or Pizza Hut, or stayed at high-end hotels like Marriott and Hilton, chances are you’ve already encountered one of these robots.
From greeting guests and leading them to their seats to efficiently delivering food and clearing tables, and even assisting with hotel cleaning and inter-floor deliveries, these robots ensure a seamless service experience.
Leju Robotics
— China’s earliest open-source HarmonyOS humanoid robot capable of jumping and adapting to multi-terrain walking
Leju Robotics has made three dazzling appearances at major winter sports events, including the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Beijing Winter Olympics, and Harbin Asian Winter Games.
Even in extreme temperatures as low as -20°C, it remains fully operational, capable of long-distance running and even high-fiving torchbearers at the Asian Winter Games. This demonstrates its outstanding adaptability and stability.
LimX Dynamics
— China’s first humanoid robot integrating spatial and motion intelligence
With its highly advanced bipedal system that allows for full-terrain perception, this robot can effortlessly traverse rocky slopes, grassy ditches, and staircases, confidently navigating complex terrains.
Kenqing Technology
— The world’s largest commercially deployed consumer-grade exoskeleton robot
With a design resembling “mechanical armor”, this exoskeleton robot helps users automatically lift their legs, making it a highly sought-after hiking companion at scenic tourist spots.
Equipped with this “mountaineering cheat code”, visitors can effortlessly ascend Mount Tai, the highest of China’s Five Great Mountains, marveling at how hiking has become so effortless and enjoyable.
Dobot Robotics
— China’s leading collaborative robot manufacturer with the highest shipment volume
Nicknamed the “All-Purpose Kirin Arm”, this AI-powered robotic arm can precisely weld and cut metals while also mastering latte art, bubble tea preparation, ice cream making, and even household chores like folding clothes and washing dishes. From precision industrial manufacturing to smart home services, it is redefining human-machine collaboration with its embodiment of intelligent automation.
PaXini Technology
— China’s first humanoid robot with multi-dimensional, multi-array tactile perception
With a fingertip sensitivity comparable to human touch, this robot can delicately pick up strawberries without damaging their surface, serve coffee without spilling a drop, and even form a perfect “heart gesture” with its hands.
So, how fast can a humanoid robot be built?
Shenzhen’s answer is one day.
ENGINEAI Robotics has achieved a remarkable production speed, manufacturing 3 to 4 humanoid robots per day.
This demonstrates that Shenzhen has already established large-scale, rapid production capabilities for humanoid robots, enabling a highly efficient model where a prototype can be built the same afternoon an idea is conceived in the morning.
The speed of Shenzhen in making robots comes from its comprehensive capabilities.
Shenzhen’s advantage in humanoid robot manufacturing stems from its full-spectrum supply chain. Essential components such as dexterous hands, high-powered legs, robotic arms, torsos, and lifelike skin can all be sourced and assembled within Shenzhen and its surrounding areas at lightning speed.
From basic electronic components to complex mechanical structures and cutting-edge sensor technologies, Shenzhen has built a fully integrated industrial ecosystem covering every stage of robot production.
Currently, Shenzhen is accelerating efforts to attract and consolidate top-tier innovation resources.
Recently, the city launched four major action plans, focusing on becoming a global AI pioneer city, developing the AI terminal device industry, advancing embodied intelligence robotics, and fostering high-growth “Gazelle” and unicorn enterprises.
Among them, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Bureau issued the Shenzhen Embodied Intelligence Robotics Technology Innovation and Industrial Development Action Plan (2025–2027) on March 3. This plan aims to establish a trillion-yuan humanoid robotics industry, with over 1,200 companies expected to be part of the industrial cluster by 2027.
Shenzhen’s elite robotics team is accelerating the unlocking of more unknowns and embracing the infinite possibilities of the future!
