Zheng Bo, chairman of TOYCITY took the stage with Little Pa AI, demonstrating its voice activation feature. He noted growing societal issues like career women over 30 having no one to confide in late at night, and children in dual-income families lacking companionship. The company aims to transform art toy IPs into genuine emotional anchors through technology, evolving Professor Pa from a shelf art toy into a growable, interactive AI companion.

During the tech demo, General Manager Lei Ganzheng showcased the core funtionis of Little Pa AI. It features emotional recognition, responding to users’ feelings through voice analysis and dynamic eye expressions. Beneath its cute exterior lies powerful intelligence, enabling quick problem-solving. For data security, dual measures ensure encrypted personal privacy and exclusive memory storage. Discussing future breakthroughs, Lei emphasized vision as the next frontier: “First language, then sensation, third vision. Current cameras fall short of human visual standards and lack a powerful brain, which are the focus of our research and will be applied to the third-generation Little Pa.

Qu Yao, brand marketing director of Toycity (Dongguan) Culture Technology Co. Ltd, believed AI toys are becoming a new choice for emotional companionship among youth. Facing work stress, social anxiety, and solitary living, young people’s need for connection has surged. Little Pa AI addresses this by remembering dietary preferences and analyzing emotions through facial expressions.

With this debut, Little Pa AI redefines companionship through technology. It doesn’t replace genuine emotional bonds but offers warmer expressions of care often scattered by busy schedules or distance. Perhaps in the future, looking back, people would trace this warmth to the technological romance born in the Capital of Art Toys in China.
