Days ago, aList of Enterprises Featuring Special, Sophisticated, Unique, and Innovative Technologies or Products of Guangdong Province 2021 was released on the website of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province. 1,459 enterprises were listed, including 95 Dongguan-based enterprises. Comparing with the list released in last December, 9 more Dongguan-based enterprises were elected. Therefore, there are totally 197 province-level enterprises featuring special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative technologies or products in Dongguan.
According to theSelection Method of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Featuring Special, Sophisticated, Unique, and Innovative Technologies or Products by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province, province-level small and medium-sized enterprises featuring special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative technologies or products refer to small and medium-sized enterprises whose main business and development focus meet national industrial policies and relevant requirements, have strong technological innovation and financing ability, good development speed, efficiency and quality, and take a development path of specialization, sophistication, uniqueness and innovation. Small and medium-sized enterprises in the manufacturing industry will enjoy first priority for the election, while those in strategic emerging industries, core basic parts (components), key basic materials, advanced basic industries, industrial technology foundation, basic software and other sectors will enjoy privilege for the election.
Specifically, enterprises featuring special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative technologies or products also include "invisible champions", "Gazelle enterprises", "unicorn enterprises" and other types. Vigorously developing enterprises featuring special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative technologies or products is the objective need for Dongguan to achieve high-quality development, and to further improve and enhance Dongguan's industrial chain.
According to Liu Jie, official from the Bureau of Industry and Information Technology of Dongguan City, Dongguan has focused on the quality of recommended enterprises since 2021. The quality rather than the quantity that counts. The number of the selected enterprises is fewer than that of other cities. However, Dongguan-based enterprises boast higher growth rate and stronger overall strength.
In recent years, preferential policies have been given by the Bureau of Industry and Information Technology of Dongguan City to enterprises featuring special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative technologies or products at all levels which have been included in the list, so that they can strive for relevant national, provincial and municipal support. They enjoy the priority to obtain support services in terms of market development, brand construction, support policy matching, investment and financing services, industrial chain matchmaking and so on.
In March this year, Dongguan issued theMeasures for the Selection of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Featuring Special, Sophisticated, Unique, and Innovative Technologies or Products by the Bureau of Industry and Information Technology of Dongguan City and the Implementation Plan for the Cultivation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Featuring Special, Sophisticated, Unique, and Innovative Technologies or Products of Dongguan. Eight policy supports, including recognition rewards, supports for technological transformation, rewards for share transformation, and financing services, were provided to enterprises featuring special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative technologies or products, with a single maximum reward of 1 million yuan.
It’s known that Dongguan is about to raise the amount of rewards for the cultivation of enterprises featuring special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative technologies or products. Under negotiation and preparation, the new rewarding and supporting policies will focus on scientific research, talents, land and finance. Targeted and accurate supports will be given, and policy supports will be strengthened, so as to help enterprises featuring special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative technologies or products accelerate their development.
Xiao Biliang, director-general of the Bureau of Industry and Information Technology of Dongguan City, said that in the future, Dongguan will increase the cultivation of enterprises featuring special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative technologies or products, by guiding them to break through core technologies, improve market competition share, take a new development path of specialization, sophistication, uniqueness and innovation, in a bid to enhance the energy level of Dongguan’s industrial chain. Priority will be given to the implementation of the "Wing Expansion Plan" for enterprises featuring special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative technologies or products. Characteristic industrial parks for special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative enterprises will be constructed, to form a new development pattern of clustered enterprises featuring special, sophisticated, unique, and innovative technologies or products.
